Town of Swanton RFP/Part-Time Economic Development Coordinator
The Town of Swanton is seeking qualified candidates for a new part-time, position as the Economic Development Coordinator for the Town. The Town is seeking either a part-time employee or a consulting proposal from a professional firm. The anticipated period of employment or contract is for one year for a maximum of 20 hours per week. A consulting firm would be expected to provide the same number of work hours for the same period of time.
The Selectboard plans to evaluate the results of the program after the first year and may make this position full-time. The primary function of the position will be to coordinate, implement, and administer community and economic development projects. Among other requirements, grant writing skills are a must and experience in economic development is a plus. The part-time salary or contract amount will be commensurate with experience. There are no benefits and no guarantee of continued employment or contract after the first year. The position will remain open until filled.
